Principal's Bio

My heart is in the community of Fruithurst, Alabama, and Fruithurst Elementary School. I have lived in Fruithurst my entire life and I am currently raising my own family here. My child attends Fruithurst Elementary School.

I attended Fruithurst Elementary School from 1980 until 1987, kindergarten through sixth grade. I then went to Cleburne County High School where I graduated in 1993. I attended Auburn University from 1993 to 1996. I obtained a Bachelor's of Science Degree in Elementary Education from Auburn University. I then attended Jacksonville State University where I obtained a Master of Science Degree in Elementary Education, an Educational Specialist Degree in Elementary Education, and a Master of Science Degree in Educational Administration. I currently hold National Board for Professional Teachers Certification.

I have 13 years of experience in elementary education, all here at Fruithurst Elementary School. I started teaching in 1996, in sixth grade. I then taught first grade for ten years. I became principal of Fruithurst Elementary School in 2007.

As my biography shows, my history and my heart are both here in Fruithurst, Alabama, and in Fruithurst Elementary School.
